Zero-Mod PB1 Thumb Rest for Precision Bass!
This requires NO modification to your Bass, and gives you the range and reach of the classic Fender rest.
Easy on - Easy off.....Uses only ONE existing pickguard screw on your P Bass
(see the pics).
Made of top quality opaque black acrylic on precision CNC machinery - NOT molded. (The clear polycarbonate version is in another listing)

in a NY machine shop

It comes with one slightly longer screw that accounts for the thickness of the rest, so i
t doesn't even change the screw hole of your bass.
The design follows the contour
of the bevel edge of your pick guard and uses it for support.
It DOES NOT touch your finish!

Will it fit my Precision Bass???

Fender Precision Basses,
copy P-Basses, high end P-Basses, and the G&L LB100 and Fender VI.
However, t
here are MANY variations of the classic Fender "P-Bass" out there made by MANY companies,
and
t
his may or may not
fit yours.
Please SEE THE PIC
with the guard outline to
make sure your pickguard screw pattern will allow the Zero-Mod to fit.
Your
bass MUST have the classic P-bass guard curve,
and the guard MUST
have the hole in the same location as the guard in the picture.
It WILL NOT FIT ANY OTHER PATTERN!
The PB-1 rest can also
be modded by us to fit some years of the Fender 5 String Deluxe and certain vintage P-Bass guards at no extra charge.

ANODIZED GUARD ON YOUR BASS???
***We carry versions that fit the 1/16th inch thick straight-edged anodized metal Fender P-Bass guards at the same price.  Contact us if you need one of those.
When in doubt, please contact us about your bass before you buy
as there are some versions (for example the precision vintage reissue) that cannot be fitted.  Those may need our PBT version or an alternate version not listed.
Why does it cost so much ???
This is not a hollow, mass production, molded in China unit, it's
specifically
designed for this bass guard and machined by CNC in small batches here in the USA.
It's solid and has a feel 3D printing and molding can't give you.(IMHO)
Think of it as craft beer compared to Bud....
It's about the price of a set of quality strings - and changes the comfort level, range and reach in playing your bass
